Watch: Trailer for HBO documentary 'Tiger' teases Tiger Woods' rise, epic fall, comeback
The trend of documentaries about talented but controversial athletes continues. First it was "The Last Dance," and now it's Tiger Woods' turn to do HBO's two-part documentary, Tiger.
HBO released the trailer for "Tiger" on Tuesday, which delves into the rise, fall and eventual comeback of Woods after years of health problems. A major difference between "Tiger" and "The Last Dance" can be seen early on: While Michael Jordan was involved in "The Last Dance", it doesn't seem that Woods was involved in "Tiger".
While there are no interviews with Woods, his mother, or his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, the documentary contains never-before-seen footage and interviews with other characters in Woods' life, including his former caddy Steve Williams, his father's friend and biographer Pete McDaniels and Diana Parr, named Woods' "first true love" in the press release. Rachel Uchitel also sits down for the first time for an interview about her role in the scandal that changed the way the world sees Woods.
Part I of “Tiger” will premiere on Sunday, January 10th at 9pm. ET and Part II will premiere on Sunday, January 17th at 9 p.m. ET.
