Traveling during the holidays is notorious for causing stressful moments, but a man's insulting tirade at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport took things to another level.
On Sunday (November 20), bystanders captured footage of a white man swearing allegiance to German dictator Adolf Hitler. In the footage, the man can be seen doing the Nazi hand salute while shouting several remarks.
StopAntisemitism, a "grassroots guard" that exposes people engaging in antisemitic behavior, posted video clips of the outbreak online and has since identified the man as Nicholas Edward Letney.
"You're going to the gas chamber!" and "Race war!" were among the anti-Semitic remarks Letney made as passengers boarded the American Airlines flight bound for Dallas-Forth Worth. Check out footage of the eruption below.
Elsewhere in the video, an airline worker calls the police over the intercom, while onlookers watch in amazement as the man continues to make vile comments.
"The Jews got what they deserved," Letney continued. "You're a bloody alien. An alien and a reptile,” he added, pointing to someone off-camera.
In a second clip, Letney is handcuffed while two officers hold him on his side. "Have you heard of the First Amendment? Yeah, so you're hurting that because I'm a Nazi. They're doing it because I'm a Nazi," he said as officers pinned him to the ground.
"You just don't like my religion because I'm a Christian and you're a racist Jew," the self-proclaimed Nazi added.
Reactions included a tweet from Jemele Hill, which read: "In Germany it is illegal to publicly deny the Holocaust, to disseminate Nazi propaganda publicly or privately, to display any Nazi symbols and to make statements supporting Hitler. Just say."
