"This is a pattern of predatory behavior," said Cummings in a tweet today. “This abuse of power is made possible by silence. Now that I know, I won't be silent.
"Girls should be able to be a fan of a comedian whom they admire without becoming a sexual target," she added. "It is the adult's responsibility to be an adult."
D'Elia previously made a statement defending himself against allegations he had asked of underage girls. These measures were taken even after he learned that they were a minor.
"I know I have said and done things that could offend people during my career, but I have never knowingly persecuted underage women," said D'Elia in a statement received from Deadline. “All of my relationships were both legal and consensual, and I have never taken or shared inappropriate photos with the people who have tweeted about me. That being said, I'm really sorry. I was a stupid guy who got ABSOLUTELY involved in my lifestyle. Its my fault. I have it. I've been thinking about it for some time and I promise I will continue to do better. "
D’Elia has made three comedy specials, including this year's Chris D’Elia: No Pain on Netflix.
The comedian also had a three-episode arc in the Netflix series You last year, starring a man who threatens a 15-year-old girl. D'Elia's character Henderson has been killed and will not appear in season 3 of the show.
