With 'Dreams' and juice, Idaho man finds online fame

Warehouse worker Nathan Apodaca enjoys the ride of online fame from a 22-second TikTok video chugging cranberry juice and singing “Dreams” to Fleetwood Mac's while longboarding an Idaho freeway.
The video has had more than 33 million views since it posted it last month. Thousands of others have published their own versions, including Politicians and even Mick Fleetwood.
"I've just been inundated with everyone, even a little boy drinking juice," he said of the RV he lives in in Idaho Falls, Idaho. "I think I even saw a dog on a skateboard, rolling around with some juice on it or something. It's insane."
Apodaca, 37, said his vehicle broke down on September 25 and he drove to work, sang, filmed and drank. He almost didn't post the clip but smiled as all the views and preferences surfaced - more than a million after finishing his shift that day.
"I'm just glad I was able to give everyone a chance to smile in all the chaos that is going on," he said. “I'm happy that I can just allow everyone to take time out and just breathe. ”
Ocean Spray, whose cranberry juice Apodaca can be seen in the video, used the moment as a marketing opportunity. This week the company gave him a new truck that was filled with as much juice as he could drink. His daughter, who had helped track interview requests and online donations, knocked on the door.
"I'm going outside and yeah, it's just all these cameramen everywhere. I just said," What the hell! It's like Publishers Clearing House! 'I'm like,' Did I just win a check? "Yeah, the truck and the juices were wow, that was just amazing, "he said.
Streams of the 1977 Fleetwood Mac track have increased, and band co-founder Mick Fleetwood released his own video emulating Apodacas. The 73-year-old drummer wrote on TikTok: “@ 420doggface208 got it right. Dreams and cranberries simply meet differently. "
Apodaca says he hopes to partner with Ocean Spray more, but doesn't have a big plan to capitalize on his newfound fame.
"I hear of things coming my way," he said. “But if that stops right now, I'll be fine with it. I am blessed that everyone is just happy about it just to decide on a mood for 15-30 seconds. "
