A woman has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder after she allegedly stabbed her roommate multiple times when she became angry at being asked to leave her home.
The incident occurred around 8:03 a.m. Friday, when deputies from the Marion County Florida Sheriff's Office received a call from one of the stabbing victims, telling them that he had been stabbed.

The victim identified the alleged suspect as 30-year-old Christina Adams, a woman with whom he shared his home along with another person who also reportedly assaulted her, according to the sheriff's office.
After the call, deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Office located Adams, who was driving not far from the scene of the attack. She was arrested and questioned by detectives but initially denied any involvement in the incident, authorities said.

"[Adams] later told detectives that she was angry at being asked to leave the home she shared with the victims. Adams said she got a large knife and then attacked both victims, stabbing them multiple times," the Marion County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. "Adams explained that after believing the victims were deceased, she attempted to destroy evidence and then left the location. Adams told detectives she changed clothes and went shopping after the attack."

Adams was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and evidence tampering. She is being held without bond in the Marion County Jail. It is unclear if she received legal counsel.
"These senseless acts of violence are shocking to all of us," Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods said in a statement. "I'm very proud of my deputies and detectives who worked so quickly not only to help the victims but also to catch such an evil person and make sure our streets are safe."
