Yankees' Gio Urshela, Clint Frazier named Gold Glove finalists

Gio Urshela doubles diving in the ninth inning of the Yankees and defeats the Indians
Yankee's third baseman Gio Urshela and outfielder Clint Frazier have been named Gold Glove finalists, Rawlings said on Twitter on Thursday.
Urshela joins Chicago White Sox 3B Yoan Moncada and Texas Rangers 3B Isiah Kiner-Falefa as the three players fighting for the glove in the American League, while Frazier of Rangers OF Joey Gallo and Baltimore Orioles OF supports Anthony Santander as a trio for gold is at RF in the AL.
Urshela appeared in 43 of the possible 60 games for New York that season and made a number of big games for the Yankees while on third base.
With 121 defensive chances that year, Urshela made 34 putouts, 86 assists and only had one mistake for a fielding percentage of 0.992 for the season. He also turned 10 doubles over the course of his 357.2 innings on the field.
Urshela was also one of the better players that season, hitting six home runs and 30 RBI .298 / .368 / .490.
Frazier has spent 280 innings as an outfielder for the Yankees that season, while at DH and back at the team's alternate site.
Most of his field work took place in the real field, where he spent 28 games / 216 innings.
Frazier had 53 defensive chances in the right field and was almost perfect with all. He missed 51 of those chances, assisted another and only made one mistake a year for a field percentage of 0.984.
He made an additional 11 putouts with 11 chances as a left field player and hit the plate with eight homers and six RBI .267 / .394 / .511.
With so many questions the Yankees had over the past few seasons about what to do with their overcrowded outfield, Frazier must have made the problem on the team more difficult. Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Brett Gardner and Aaron Hicks also fought for a time out the field.
