Zendaya Said Timothée Chalamet Became Her "Bestie" On The Set Of "Dune," And I'm Not Sure Whose Shoes I'd Rather Be In More
Dear reader, my dreams have come true. As I predicted when I first got Wind from my mutual co-star in Dune, Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya are best friends now.

Stan Twitter is happy! Bisexuals and pansexuals are crying everywhere! In the meantime, I personally still haven't recovered from their red carpet debuts at Le Grand Rex in Paris or at the Venice Film Festival.
I can't look at these photos without hyperventilating.

Am I overinvested in this friendship between two people who are completely strangers to me outside of their public person and who know nothing about me? Certainly! Do I care about the optics of this reality? How dare you say such a thing!
Let me have that, ok?

Either way, the reigning king and queen of young Hollywood graced the covers of Entertainment Weekly this week and were joined by their co-stars and director Denis Villeneuve to discuss the cast dynamics and the making of the larger-than-life science fiction film speak.
As you know, the adaptation of Frank Herbert's 2021 classic novel follows Paul Atreides (that's Timmy) when he and his family started a fiefdom on the harsh desert planet of Arrakis, aka Dune. As heir to the House of Atreides, he is touched by haunting visions from Chani (the only Zendaya), a Fremen warrior who warns of great unrest. Oh, and didn't I mention that these are also love interests?

Yes, I too play this short clip of their characters again just before they kiss.
In an exclusive interview with EW, Zendaya spoke about how she immediately clicked with Timothée and the rest of the cast. "I didn't want to go," she said, and related how she was only on set for a week. “Denis was so warm and it had a family quality when I got there. I felt very welcome by the crew and the cast, everyone was so nice to me ... I got very close to Timothée. We said, 'Oh, that's great, we're going to be best friends, I can say that.' "

The Spider-Man star also announced that she would love to do a sequel to the film as the dense nature of the novel meant that Denis had to split the narrative in half. “There is still so much history to tell. I would love to spend more time with these characters, ”she explained. "I've learned so much as an actress and got better from the experience of being with Denis, watching him interact with his actors and do sets."

"I also made wonderful friends with Timothée, who is now like my family, I would say," she continued. "We talk all the time about how fun it will be if we make it. Selfishly, I want to do [a second movie] to have fun and hang out with my boyfriend."
The 25-year-old actors have previously spoken about their close friendship and mutual admiration for each other's talents. And by "mutual admiration" I mean that they absolutely pour themselves over, like the stans that they are.

In a joint interview with E! Zendaya said the two would be "friends for life". Meanwhile, Timmy praised her looks on the red carpet and said, "She's killing it!" (It's true.)
