42-year-old Zoe Saldana just showed off her toned abs in a new Instagram photo.
Because of her busy schedule, she's a big fan of quick interval workouts.
The actress also has seriously healthy eating habits, but hates the word "diet".
Zoe Saldana has always been #fitnessgoals, but the 42-year-old actress just shared a new Instagram post - and it's hard to notice that her abs look amazing.
The contribution is simple: In it, Zoe wears a black Adidas sports bra and leggings with loose hair. "#wegotthis," she wrote in the headline. But that just makes it even easier to see that, by the way, Zoe, a mother of three, has abs that you could grate cheese on.
It was definitely pointed out in the comments about how good she looks. "Queen?" Wrote a fan. "?? ❤️ !!" said another.
The Guardians of the Galaxy stars don't share a lot of fitness content on Instagram, but she has shown in the past that she has a pretty dependable approach to health and exercise.
"Between trips, meetings and filming, the schedules are difficult for me," she previously told Shape magazine. "I try to exercise three times a week, but I don't believe in sitting on a machine for 30 minutes. If I do a lot of cardio, it usually just means dragging my feet for the rest of the day. And when I do I really don't like to be strict with my training because I already use 16-hour days. "
Instead, Zoe does great 20-minute interval workouts, either at home or at her gym. During these seshes, she runs in place for 30 seconds, followed by squats, and then does the whole thing again while carrying a heavy medicine ball to get her heart rate up.
But Zoe said she also tries to eat well. "I can't exercise regularly, so I compensate for that by eating a lot healthier than usual," she told Shape. "Once you have relatively healthy eating habits, your exercise can lead to you playing with your kids, strolling around the neighborhood, playing airplanes, or just changing diapers."
Zoe also told Bon Appetit that most of the time she tries to eat healthy. She says she gets "pretty creative with eggs" and also likes to start her day with mashed avocados and sliced tomatoes on toast.
She is also anti-diet, which she wrote about on Facebook in 2015. "I'm going to get the word 'diet' out of my life. I'll remind myself that it's not about losing weight, it's about being." Feeling healthy, healthy, for the rest of my life, "she wrote." I'll try to focus on what weekends really are for - resting and making time for loved ones ... What if chow time comes? I will make amazing and healthy choices. "
Oh, and she even finds ways to incorporate movement into her work, like on this photo shoot:
